NOT YOUR GRANDMOTHER'S WALLPAPER

In the past year or so, you might or might not have noticed a rather big trend thats making a huge comeback in the interior design world. That trend is wallpaper. For some of you, this might be a scarring word that brings you flash-backs of your Grandmother's house, and the brown and mustard yellow floral wallpaper that adorned the walls (which seemed to have existed since the the Renaissance Era, or somewhere near that time period.)  Alright, your memory of Gran's house may not be quite that extreme; however, my point is that wallpaper is making a comeback.
Wallpaper, which "back in the day" used to be known for it's ghastly and frumpy floral designs, and brilliant color schemes of olive green and a burnt-mustard yellow, has now completely reinvented itself to be a modern and artful element of decor in today's interior design world!
Let me show you just how wonderful it is!

Add wallpaper to one wall in a room and make it a focal wall.
Living rooms are great for focal walls,
and wallpaper can add an instant jolt of personality!
Are you afraid of color, and prefer neutrals? Replace your neutral walls with a textured neutral wallpaper! It's the same look, just with some substance.
Bathrooms are my absolute favorite room to add wallpaper to! Especially powder rooms. Think of these rooms as little jewelry boxes. You can take advantage of the bolder, brighter, and busier prints in these rooms because the space is so small, and you wont be overwhelmed with the intensity of the prints because they are rooms that we typically don't spend a long time in! Bathrooms are great spaces to punch up the color and texture!

Ladies, how lovely would it be to do laundry in a room that is this inspiring?

Here are some of my favorite examples of rooms with wallpaper:

How adorable is this room? I am loving the colors!
